Katharine Castle

Katharine was RPS' editor-in-chief from 2021 to 2024. She first joined the team in 2017, where she spent four years in the RPS hardware mines - a refreshing change from the endless stream of smartphone reviews she was subjected to in her former life as a tech journalist. She's always loved video games, and grew up on a steady diet of Nintendo and Final Fantasy fodder. But she also likes to read as much as she can, especially if it's something in translation (she also has a whole Instagram for that, if you're interested). Now, she's the managing editor at RPS sister-site Eurogamer. She still plays pretty much anything she can get her hands on, is very partial to JRPGs and the fetching of quests, but also loves strategy and turn-based tactics games and will never say no to a good Metroidvania.
